Payment, cancellation, refund and damages policy

Payment

No payment is required at time of reservation request. However, upon confirmation of your reservation, we would require full payment within a reasonable date line set at the time of confirmation. If the payment is not received by the date line, we reserve the right to cancel the reservation so that we may confirm the request of others.

Payment is deemed to have been made only when our bank advises us of the receipt and the amount is credited to our account. Unless our bank confirms the payment, we would assume that the payment has not been made and we reserve the right to cancel the reservation after the date line is satisfied. To avoid misunderstanding, we suggest that you allow sufficient time to clear the check by both the banks.

Payee shall be responsible for all charges for the payment transaction charged by the banks. Should the bank deducts a commission, fee, etc, payee must make good the difference before arrival (please check with your bank the charges, if any)

Payment by bank transfers (preferred)

  • In the case of bank transfers, please inform us immediately of the payment transfer with the following information: 
    Name of your bank (transferring the payment)
    The amount transferred
    The transfer receipt number or code provided by the bank
    The date of the remittance

Payment by personal checks (only local checks may be accepted)

  • Local checks in Rupiah should be addressed to:

  • Personal checks are acceptable only from residents of Indonesia with a local bank checking account. Please allow us time to clear the check, especially when you are located outside of Bali. Payee shall be responsible for all charges made by the bank. Should the bank deduct a commission, fee, etc, payee must make good the difference before arrival (please check with your bank the charges, if any)

Payment by credit cards (electronic payment by credit card is not available)

Credit card payment is acceptable under some conditions. Again, payment is deemed paid only if payment by the credit card company is received by our bank.

For security and cost considerations, online payment by credit card is not available. However, we can arrange credit card payment on a manual basis by way of a signed authority from you in writing. If you choose to pay by credit card, please follow the following procedure:

  • Photocopy both sides of your credit card onto the bottom half of an A4/letter size blank paper

    Above it on the same paper, please type or write legibly the following authorization: 

“I,   (name of card holder), authorizes (name of credit card company) to debit my account up to an amount not exceeding Dollars   (amount in words). My credit card details are as follows and as per copy of card below:

  • Please fax this authorization to us at least 7 days prior to check-in.

Cancellation charges

A cancellation fee is charged for all cancellations unless it is cancelled more than 30 days prior to arrival.

Much as we hate to charge for cancellations, we need to do so to avoid loss and double bookings. However, we would reconsider waiving cancellation charges in the following exceptions: 

  • Cancellation is made in writing at least 30 days prior to arrival at the retreat 

  • You are ill and the doctor certifies that you should not be traveling -advance notice is necessary  

  • In the event of a demise of a close family member and it requires your presence. Advance notice and supporting documentary proof must be supplied for a reconsideration  

  • A change in schedule and you are booking an alternative date not more than 30 days from the date of the original booking

In any case and without exception, an administrative fee of US$25.00 per booking will be levied for all and any cancellation once the reservation is confirmed and payment has been made.

Refunds 

If a cancellation charge is waived, we would refund the amount (less an administrative fee of US$25.00 per booking) to the original payee within 30 days. 

No refund is allowed, for whatever reason/s, for services that are partially unutilized 

Damages and loss of property, equipment, etc

We would like you to enjoy our facilities, equipment, furnishing and other services. We would ask you to be careful when handling the equipment.

In the unlikely event that any part of the building, furniture and fixtures, equipment and garden is damaged or lost as a result of your negligence and/or carelessness, we are would need to seek compensation from you for replacement or repair. 

To avoid any misunderstanding, we would need you to sign and indemnity for such as you check into the cottage.
